Shopping at the Market
Every Saturday, Lisa and her mother go to the market. The market is big and colorful. There are many people and lots of food to buy.
Lisa likes the fruit stand. There are apples, bananas, oranges, and strawberries. Lisa’s mother buys two apples and a bunch of bananas. Lisa smiles because she loves bananas.
Next, they go to the vegetable stand. There are tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, and cucumbers. Lisa’s mother buys some tomatoes and a few cucumbers. "We can make a salad at home," she says.
After that, they visit the bakery. Lisa sees fresh bread and cookies. Her mother buys one loaf of bread. Lisa asks, "Can we buy some cookies?" Her mother laughs and buys a small bag of cookies for Lisa.
At the end of their shopping, Lisa helps her mother carry the bags. "I like the market!" says Lisa. Her mother smiles and says, "Me too."
