The imperative form is created using the base form of the verb (infinitive without to). It doesn’t use a subject.
To make a negative imperative, add do not or don’t before the verb.
Example: Do not run., Don’t speak.

The imperative is commonly used for the following purposes:
1. Giving Instructions
Wash your hands before eating.
Follow the steps carefully.
2. Giving Orders
Stop the car!
Wait here.
3. Offering or Inviting
Have a seat, please.
Join us for lunch.
4. Giving Advice
Take a break if you’re tired.
Drink more water every day.
5. Giving Warnings
Don’t touch that wire.
Don’t forget to lock the door.
Let’s – Making Suggestions
Use let’s + verb or let’s not + verb to make suggestions.
Example: Let’s go to the park. Let’s not waste time.
